Our founder and principle teacher, Barbara Mader, is a wise woman skilled in the healing arts. Her techniques include, and often are a blend of, Healing Touch; SRT (Spiritual Response Therapy); EMF (Electromagnetic Field Balancing); Crystal Therapy; Flower Remedies; Sound Healing; and Shamanic Healing & Journeying. With these wonderful skills, Barbara’s work leads to both inner & outer healing. Successful pain management and stress relief are only two of the benefits of a session with her. Others include Chakra clearing, increased energy, greater inner peace and the release of subconscious blocks. Our Healing Therapies page will give you a brief overview of these modalities and outline more of the benefits.

Linda Schreiber, LMsT, comes to us from the Baltimore/Washington DC area, where she was a 1993 graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage, took many hours of continuing education in the field, and operated a full time massage practice. Healing Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Pranic Healing, Reflexology, Craniosacral, and Lomi Lomi are just some of the techniques she has integrated into what she likes to call her “bodywork dance”.

A massage under Linda’s skilled hands is an accumulation of her education and experience that brings relief from stress or pain, relaxation, and a sense of over-all well being. Her intuitive approach along with extensive study, has allowed her to be helpful to clients dealing with the symptoms of stress, migraines, depression, knee surgeries, and even more serious dis-ease.

Massage has become a complementary therapy to medical conditions including arthritis, chronic and temporary pain, circulatory problems, headaches, tmj, and as rehabilitation for sports injuries.

Contact Linda at nina1559@hotmail.com or by calling 575-336-2841, or HMHC at 575-336-7777.

Sonnie Licona attended her first sweat lodge (Inipi) in 1995 where she was introduced to the Lakota way to pray. It was at this ceremony that she met her teacher and guide on this traditional path. Sonnie attended Inipi ceremonies on a very regular basis, completed her four day vision quest, attended her first Dance in Wanblee, South Dakota, completed her four year Dance commitment, and began to facilitate Sweat Lodges through the authority of Lynne Valentine & Ta Canupa Wakan (Charles Chipps). She has been a women’s helper at the Lone Star Sun Dance for several years after completing one year as a cedar woman at that Dance. She and Memo have supported each other as friends since 1992 and have been life partners since 2001. Their paths crossed in recovery as well as at the Inipi Ceremonies. Today they work together as a team at work, in life, and on their Spiritual journey. They began pouring lodges at High Mesa Healing Center in 2003 and began Vision Quest Ceremonies over the past few years. They are very grateful to George and Barbara Mader for allowing them to hold these sacred ceremonies on their land. Contact Sonnie at 575-430-3715.

Memo Licona began attending lodges and ceremonies in approximately 1990. His first teacher was Mary Thunder and he began following Leonard Crowdog’s lineage. After completing his Sundance at Paradise on the Rosebud Reservation, he began his path with a new teacher by the name of Michael Day. After connecting with Sonnie as a partner, Memo began learning from more than one teacher and continues in this way now. He has been a cedar man at the Lone Star Sundance for many years and he and Sonnie just completed a four year cedar commitment at a second Dance. He was given the authority to pour water for the lodges by Michael Day several years ago. It is an honor to be allowed to facilitate at the High Mesa Healing Center!
